Frequently Asked Questions

Independent Contractor/Client Support Professional – A person or entity contracted to perform work or provide services to another entity as a non-employee.  As a result, (you are considered self-employed).  You can choose when you work either weekends, evenings, or morning as well as how many hours you work.  You have the freedom to schedule your work around your life, spend more time with your family, and participate in your favorite past time endeavors.  Independent contractors must pay their own Social Security and Medicare taxes and other required expenses as being related to business ownership.

We hire Independent Contractors only.  It does not cost to apply for a position or to create your agent profile (once your application is approved).  Our Clients do require each Individual agent to become certified on their program, which requires certification training and a background check ($9.99).  The great thing as an Independent Contractor is, you are able to write off any expenses on your taxes.  Know that, this is an investment about being in complete control of your work, money, and hours.  Much like being a Travel Agent representative, or any person receiving a 1099-MISC (tax filing document).  As an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for your certification training cost and any equipment needed for service.

All the clients have a minimum hour requirement which is usually 15 or 20 hours a week.  You must work that to continue servicing that client under the terms of the Statement of Work (“SOW”).  It is totally up to you.  The hours available for a specific client will be outlined in the Opportunity Announcements you receive once you complete the Admissions Process.  Your income is dependent upon the number of hours you select and service.  Most clients require a minimum of 15 hours per week.  Reports show that you can make on average $200-$1200 every two weeks.  *The average pay is between $9 to $16 per hour, *(TBV).

You are paid on the 15th and 30th day of every month.  If you serviced from the 1st – 15th, you will be paid (via direct deposit) on the 30th day of that same month.  If you service from the 16th through to the last day of the month, you will be paid on the 15th day of the following month.

Wireless networks are not supported within the admissions process.  In addition, as a Client Support Professional (CSP) you will not be allowed to use any wireless connections to provide service to you client applications.  Please see the (Technical Requirements Page)  https://portal.arise.com/Localization/en-US/Workstation_Requirements.pdf. You would handle INBOUND calls that have been routed from the client’s phone systems to your phone at your house.  You will have the option to work in billing, sales, tech department and various other areas.  You are allowed to choose the clients you would like to service.  You will answer the call and service the customer while you are logged into the clients proprietary software on your computer.  You will need a (specification specific) telephone line (no voicemail or call waiting) and high-speed internet (no WiFi).  You will work with the customer to resolve any concerns and provide them the information they need, then move on to your next service call.

Because you are considered an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR there are some fees that you are required to pay to get started.  THESE ARE FEES YOU PAY TO ARISE.  You’re responsible for a background check fee, certification training cost (Fees can vary per each client) and a Services Platform usage fee of $19.95 paid Bi-weekly.

1. National Background Check Fee ($9.99).
2. Client certification programs fees that can vary per each client, based on the length and complexity of the program and class. Please also note that each client has its own certification cost and requirements.  **These are highly specialized, instructor-led online courses.  These courses are required by the client and provide details about the client’s systems and the requirements of the program.  ** You are not required to pay this fee until you complete (and pass) the background check.
3. High-Speed Internet Access (charges may vary).
4. Phone and Headset equipment.

Similar to becoming a Life Insurance Agent and having to pay for your certification, in this instance; there is a cost to become certified as a qualified Client Support Professional (CSP).  Arise charge agents for the use of their internal resources.  Also, the certification fee is used to create your access to the client’s secure infrastructure and your logins for the client system so you can work from home. The course takes approximately 4-6 weeks.  However, this time period could be less, dependent upon the client’s requirements.  **You are not required to pay this fee until you complete (and pass) the background check.
